 Speaker Biography:
 
 
 Teaching at the School of the Arts at Columbia University as a Professor of Professional Practice, Richard Peña is the program director of the Film society of Lincoln Center and he is also the former principal of the New York Films Festival.
Peña was awarded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2001 and received the Fine Arts Prize given by the Ministry of education and culture of Spain. After that, he was also awarded by the South Korea's foreign ministry. In 2013, he won the Honorary Academy Award in the Jerusalem Film Festival.
